Personal data collected as part of the application process

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number and date of birth, as well as information relating to your professional background and qualifications.

Fundamentals and purposes of processing personal data collected from application documents and during the application process

If you apply to us electronically, i.e. via email or using our online application form, we will collect and process your personal data for the purpose of carrying out the application process and deciding whether to establish an employment relationship.

The processing is carried out in particular on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), insofar as the processing is necessary for the decision on establishing an employment relationship.

By submitting an application via our recruitment website, you express your interest in taking up employment with us. In this context, you transmit personal data which we use for the purpose of processing your application.

Your personal data is generally processed exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the application process and filling the vacancy for which you have applied.

Retention period

Your personal data will generally be stored for a period of 90 days after the application process has been concluded.

Further storage is carried out in particular to protect legitimate interests and for the establishment, exercise or defence of potential legal claims.

After this period, your personal data will be deleted or anonymised unless statutory retention obligations or other legal grounds require further storage.

In the event of anonymisation, the data will subsequently only be available for statistical analysis without any direct reference to you as an individual.

Should you be offered and accept a position with us during the application process, the personal data collected as part of the application process will be further processed in accordance with the legal and operational requirements applicable to the employment relationship.

Disclosure of data to third parties

Data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using encrypted transmission and stored in a database.

For our recruitment management, we use the HR management and applicant tracking software provided by Personio SE & Co. KG.

In this context, Personio processes personal data on our behalf as a processor in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. The basis for this processing is a data processing agreement between us as the controller and Personio.

Rights of data subjects

If we as the controller process personal data, you as the data subject have certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing.
